“It’s easy to imagine Hemingway and Taylor sipping martinis here”

This hotel is definitely one I would love to return to and recommend with enthusiasm

Grand Hotel Miramar is known as one of Spain's best and most beautiful hotels, and it definitely lives up to its reputation!

The luxury and opulence here are fit for a princess or prince. The view of palm trees, beach, and beautiful marble columns and fountains make it easy to imagine Hemingway and Taylor sipping martinis here. We stayed in a suite with a sea view, 2 rooms, and a terrace. When we arrived, there was cava and fruit waiting for us in the room - a lovely touch.

We also dined in the hotel's restaurant, which was intimate and had delicious food. The service, wine, and overall experience were all top-notch.

  • The hotel also has a spa that we had free access to, thanks to booking through reception. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to go, but it looked amazing. Make sure to book ahead of time though, as they don't accept walk-ins.

  • The hotel is about 15 minutes' walk from Malaga city center. We decided to be tourists and take a horse-drawn carriage from the harbor with all our luggage. It was a bit touristy, but also fun - we felt like we were in Bridgerton arriving at a palace. Do it! It was fun!

TRAVEL TIP

If you would like to try a 5 star luxury hotel, you should do it in cities or areas that are less expensive.

A 2-room suite here costs the same as a good double room in a 4 star hotel in Paris.

You get more for less!

This hotel is definitely one I would love to return to and recommend with enthusiasm.

‘Yes, it's a 5-star hotel and comes with a price tag to match, but you won't get anywhere near the same standard in a big city, and you get a lot more adventure and luxury for your money here, and you can even make do it with just one night.
